Some 2,500 years ago, the Greek philosopher Heraclitus made a profound observation: “You cannot step twice into the same river.”
Last night was the EPIC Fried Chicken Throw Down between Noca and FnB.
It’s hard to improve on grilled cheese with tomato soup—but that’s exactly what the folks at Noca are doing.
Eliot Wexler’s Contemporary American restaurant has always been Italian-inflected.
What a difference a month makes! Owner Eliot Wexler closed Noca for summer hiatus the first of July. And today, he re-opens with a brand new space.
Noca, bless its heart, jolts us into remembering why we like to eat out in the first place.
Those in the seafood know get to Noca on Wednesdays, where a buttery, gourmet version of the lobster roll is truly a delicious catch.
You won’t find better seafood anywhere, from the starter of fluke tartare to the lobster-roll sandwich to monkfish with braised red cabbage.
It’s not often you can have your cake and eat it, too.
Usually, a restaurant diner will look to the chef for recommendations. At Noca, however, owner Eliot Wexler has never been adverse to asking his guests for a little help. Or a lot.
